Personal umbrella liability insurance provides an additional layer of liability protection over and above the primary limits of your home and/or auto insurance policy. While it applies to losses over the dollar amount in the underlying policies, terms of coverage are sometimes broader than those of underlying policies.
The personal umbrella policy offers a higher level of coverage protecting you from damages for which you may be held responsible.
- Personal liability coverage for incidents on or off your premises
- An additional layer of protection against automobile-related liabilities
- Protection against non-business related personal injury liabilities, such as libel, slander, wrongful evicition or false arrest
- Legal defense costs for a covered loss
