Workers' Compensation

The remedy for injuries occurring during the course of employment is Workers’ Compensation. Under the Workers’ Compensation system an employer is required to carry workers compensation insurance but cannot be sued for damage by the injured employee. The injured employee is compensated for on-the-job injuries regardless of fault or negligence, but may collect only the statutory benefits.

In the past, Workers’ Compensation has been a difficult line of insurance to place, especially in California. At MacCorkle, we have had success in placing Workers’ Compensation despite a hard market. We continue to watch the market as it softens to make sure that our clients have the best options available to them.
