Ross Petterson is a Vice President in the Benefits Department at MacCorkle Insurance Service. Ross started his benefits career with Mutual of New York right out of college and was sent to San Francisco upon completing their training program. He worked on the carrier side for
ten years, and was one of Great West’s top Bay Area salespeople. His career then took him into the brokerage/consulting side of the business where he has assisted clients for the past seventeen years.

His expertise includes small to mid-size group consulting and risk management on all aspects of employee benefits. His clients particularly value his expertise with self-insurance and outsourcing trends, both areas that have seen increased interest as employers struggle to deal
with the escalating cost and complexity of their benefits programs. Ross has been a member of several Insurance
Carrier councils and he has been a guest lecturer in the
UC extension program for Human Resources students.

Ross is a native of New Jersey and has lived with his family in Burlingame for over twenty years. He graduated from Duke University and roots hard during basketball season for the Blue Devils.
