Mary Nishioka is a Senior Vice President in the Benefits Department at MacCorkle Insurance Service. Mary has been in employee benefits for over twenty five years
working for two major insurance companies and four brokerages. Mary was employed for three years at one of the largest brokerages in California specializing in
schools and public entities where she regularly interacted with various union and non-union groups. Prior to her career in insurance, Mary worked at an international airline and was a member of the Teamsters for ten years.
Her expertise has been developing relationships with the insurance carriers and vendors that provide services to Human Resources. Her knowledge and background in
this area has been a valuable part of what MacCorkle delivers to clients. She is a member of the Silicon Valley Health Underwriters, National Association of Health
Underwriters, and the Northern California Employee Benefits Council. She has been a member and served on the Board of the National Association of Independent Financial Advisors and the Association of Health Insurance Advisors for six years. For five years, she has taught the Employee Benefits Administration course for The Employers Group HR certification.
