Mac entered the insurance business in 1967, after graduating from Cornell University and serving as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps with Vietnam service.
Initially, he started in the life insurance business and quickly added employee benefits to his quiver of products. By 1978, Mac had entered the property and casualty business and in 1980 founded MacCorkle Insurance Service. MacCorkle Insurance Service provided a vehicle to fulfill the vision to offer all forms of coverage under one roof.
Today, MacCorkle Insurance Service has grown to a 54 person regional brokerage with business in Europe and the Far East. Besides playing a leadership role in the company, MacCorkle himself continues to assist both personal and business clients in all the forms of insurance coverage.
