Bill has spent over 40 years in sales and management positions in the insurance industry. For the first ten years,
he was a group representative for Aetna, mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area. He then worked for various Marsh and McLennan Companies, as their names evolved, including serving on the Board of Directors of Seabury and Smith for
a number of years. Before joining MacCorkle, Bill was Executive Vice President of Acordia (now Wells Fargo Insurance).

A native of the bay area, Bill is a graduate of Santa Clara University. He and his family, including his wife, four married children, and ten grandchildren, continue to reside close to MacCorkle’s office. Bill has served on many industry and
non profit boards including a term as President on the Professional Insurance Association of America. An active
golfer, he also served as President of both The Olympic
Club in San Francisco and Sharon Heights Golf and Country
Club in Menlo Park.

Bill is licensed as both a Life & Disability and a Property & Casualty agent. In addition, he is licensed by the State of California to sell Long Term Disability products. Bill spends most of his time in the corporate market place and works with many Life Science Companies.
